BESPOKE

Frances Kirk BESPOKE invites you to create the meaningful jewellery of your dreams. If you’re after something special, whether it be a handmade wedding ring, re-imagined heirloom jewellery or something engraved we’d love to hear from you. You will collaborate with Annie throughout the design and making process, ensuring that you are happy every step of the way. Your piece will be handcrafted in the studio using recycled metals and responsibly sourced gemstones.

Please note, we are currently only taking commissions in solid yellow or white gold. For most bespoke work we require at least 12 weeks lead time, often more if it’s a complicated design that takes a while to sign off, so please do get in touch with lots of time to spare. If we are at bespoke capacity, we operate a waiting list system. All bespoke work is offered on a first come first served basis. Each project varies, but generally we require a 40% deposit prior to beginning work.

Please read the information below, and then fill in our bespoke enquiry form. We aim to respond within 2 working days.

THE PROCESS

Budget

Firstly, I will need to know your rough budget before we begin in order to share with you what is possible! Please note that as of 2025, bespoke work using stones starts at £1,500. Bespoke work using metal only starts at £700.

Consultation

I will always offer you a consultation, be it in person in my Bristol studio, or over video call, to discuss your ideas further. This is a great way to get to know you and what you’re after, while also being able to give you as much information as possible.

Design

Once we have discussed your ideas, I will begin the design process. Please note, as of 2025 a non-refundable fee of £250 is required before designing begins. This is then taken off the final invoice. I offer drawings and digital mock-ups where possible but please be aware that the final piece will not look exactly like the designs! My work is organic, fluid and unique and therefore almost impossible rot predict entirely! Once a design has been signed off, we will require a 50% deposit of the total work to begin making. The final amount is due on completion of the piece(s).

Re-working

I can re-work any carat of gold or silver. This is a wonderful way to re-use unworn jewellery, a sustainable fashion practice. If you’d like to breathe life into old unworn jewellery, this is the service for you. I require information and photographs of the piece / pieces you have and will make an assessment as to what can be achieved with the materials you have. You will be involved at every step of the process to ensure your sentimental jewellery is treated with care. Please note, that although the upmost care is taken when handling old pieces, I cannot be held responsible if stones are damaged / broken in the process as old jewellery is hard to predict.

Wedding rings

I offer a bespoke wedding ring service, in 9, 14 or 18 carat recycled gold (yellow, white and rose gold). If you order a pair of wedding bands, a small piece of one is always melted into the other so they are always linked. The Frances Kirk signature style is organic and fluid with a priority on texture and natural shape so please bear this in mind when getting in touch! Individual wedding rings start at £500.

Details

Commissions currently take 12-18 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. This can be rushed for simple bespoke work like plain wedding rings, so do get in touch if you need the piece sooner and I will let you know what is possible!

I only work in sold gold for bespoke work, 9,14 or 18 carat and any colour of gold is available. All my gold is recycled.

Bespoke work starts at £1500 for pieces with stones, £700 for plain metal and £500 for wedding rings. Pricing is determined by stones, complexity of design, carat and weight of gold.
